For this single, I remember trying to draw from those awkward early high school blues of first relationships. Molding those juvenile feelings with calm jazzy swing yielded a product just about as good as we could've hoped for.

This song is so simple, but definitely one of my favorites. We wanted the chorus to be singable, the instrumental to be smooth, but the story of the verses to be layered with intricate storytelling.

This single was so fun to create with our longtime friend and experienced producer, Brooks! The inspiration for the song came from thinking about relationships where the two of them seem keep breaking up and getting back together. In a sense, they keep 'running' and can't stop falling for each other.
